Critical Job Elements:
The Scheduling Specialist is responsible for all aspects of scheduling, including handling new client scheduling, client schedule changes, new caregiver scheduling, and on-going caregiver scheduling and rescheduling (i.e. call-offs). The scheduler’s key responsibilities are to ensure that 1776’s client’s shifts are staffed with no missed shifts.
A successful candidate relationships with caregivers, team members, and clients is critical. Strong independent work ethic, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills are necessary.

Scheduling: Strive for the schedule to be filled at least two days in advance at the close of each work day. Handle call-offs and other changes quickly and efficiently.
Field Training: Train caregivers in the client’s home as required.
Relationship Management: Aspire to develop a good working relationship with caregivers, clients, and their families over the phone and through other forms of electronic communication.
Fill-in: While the goal is to not have to fill shifts with office staff, that scheduler may need to fill in as a caregiver in certain situations.
Office/business hours are 8:30 - 5 pm Monday through Friday
Share on-call responsibilities on nights and weekends.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A scheduler must have the following qualifications:
At least five year’s job-related experience in the home care industry.
Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Successfully pass a criminal/DMV background check (no felony convictions and no misdemeanor theft convictions).
Successfully pass a drug test.
Receive two employment reference checks.
Registered in the Home Service Worker Registry
Provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Success in communication and relationship building.
Possess excellent computer skills, able to work with new technologies, and attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Client Care Management:
Handle incoming client calls and assist them immediately when possible.
Schedule or reschedule client shifts as needed.
Caregiver Relations:
Handling incoming caregiver calls and assist them immediately.
Schedule or reschedule caregivers shifts as needed.
Employee hands-on training: Ensure all caregivers are qualified to provide 1776 Senior Care services prior to deployment.
Resolve all conflicts as possible.
Supervise caregivers: Assist with coordination, evaluation, and planning of senior care services. Make regular visits to client homes to check status of client/caregiver relationship, assess quality of services provided by caregiver, address any needs or concerns, update service plans, and identify opportunities to enrich clients’ lives (experiential service versus functional).
Maintain availability to the caregiver for questions at all times and conduct on-site supervision at a minimum of every 90 days for home service workers, or more often if the care plan requires it.
Complete evaluations for caregivers working with assigned client load.
Scheduling:
Own the scheduling process for 1776 in ClearCare.
Participate heavily in sharing on-call responsibilities on nights and weekends.
Caregiving:
Work shifts as a caregiver as needed.
Assist with training caregivers as needed.
